| 1462285 | 2019-07-17 22:08:00 | Not yet, getting closer though :-( All the youngies are on facebook and insta or whatever the app of the month currently is Forums like this are definitely dying off . Many of the forums I used to go to even 5 years ago are now gone or inactive. I had to get a Facebook a/c as most of the hobby groups are now on FB. That was a low point , biting the bullet & joining FB. |

| 1462286 | 2019-07-17 23:47:00 | This forum has lost lots of old/former members as well. Some got tired of a prolonged period of bickering and others seem to just lose interest. Occasionally one or two will pop back with a query but most have remained silent, some have died. Notably "Godfather" R.I.P. I put it down to the improvement in later Windows o/s's as well, far fewer problems. The forum software being hosted in Aussie didn't help either. Also the loss of the Printed ver of PressF1. |

| 1462287 | 2019-07-17 23:57:00 | My mum had kidney stones once. For months. Doc came up with all sorts of stupid diagnosis, inc flu. She saw another eventually and he told her to go to the hospital immediately as they were large. She didn't. She said eventually she passed them. Typical of my mum. (Snip). Did you ever get to see one of her kidney stones? I guess the word "stone" suggests something like a nice smooth river pebble, all nicely rounded. I recovered mine, and it was quite the nastiest thing you could see. It was the calcium based kind, so it was crystalline, with jagged bits sticking out all over. The ureter is a skinny little tube, so as they move stones like that cause pain that some doctors would put at the 10 on a scale of 0 - 10. Respect to your mother for passing them without medical aid! |
