1462091 2019-07-06 01:22:00 I do occasionally onforward jokes by email. This is what I do:

1. Select (Highlight) the particular joke(s) I want to send
2. While it is highlighted, hit Ctrl and C simultaneously
3. Open the email I intend to send and position the cursor in the body (message part) of the email
4. Hit Ctrl and V simultaneously

I have never used Word for composing an email so perhaps your mileage may vary. However, I have not failed in a copy/paste to Word when the material to be copied has been selected and then used Ctrl + C to copy it to the clipboard, opened Word and used Ctrl +V to locate it in a document at the position of the cursor.

1462092 2019-07-06 01:50:00 If you have Windows 10, Click the Window key + Shift + S and select the area of text that you want to copy by dragging the cursor with your mouse, then paste that image into your email (Control+V)

Paste is greyed out. no transfer As mentioned, This means the Copy portion has not worked/Taken.

Can you copy /Paste from other places, Like another word document, Email etc ?

No. I opened a new Word doc & minimised to the bottom task bar. I opened another Word Doc. Highlighted the text, which was grey rather than blue. brought up the dropdown & clicked Copy. Brought up new Word doc & clicked Paste. It didn't. PJ

1462097 2019-07-07 01:08:00 The problem , my guess, starts wheh I highlight the text I want to coppy. It comes up as grey. I am sure it should be blue as at other times. PJ Poppa John (284)

Since it wont copy / Paste in a word Doc then its a general software problem common to both.

Have a read of he following merabheja.com Suggest working through the Solutions.

Could be some other problem as well. Sometimes its trial and error, Example another option ( bit hard to understand) www.youtube.com

1462099 2019-07-08 00:36:00 OK. I have not solved the problem of copy & paste to a word doc. I looked at Wai's links & decided beyond me. I tried to copy & paste onto an email, which I didnt really want, & it worked. So Iwill have to stick with that. Thankyou to all who have helped & been patient with me. PJ. :thanks:thanks:thanks:thanks Poppa John (284)
