1461925 2019-07-03 11:16:00 Its great that most of you agree with me.
My prediction is that the Climate Change Frenzy as I call it will get worse and worse,

And then when nothing has happened, the penny will drop for the masses and they will demand that all references and taxes to climate change be dropped.

And all the Climate Change evangelists will end up looking stupid (at our expense)

1461926 2019-07-03 11:17:00 The planet does not need saving.
It was here long before us and will be here long after we are gone.

A good point, we may be all gone but the planet will still be here!

The key thing is how do we know when?

1461927 2019-07-03 11:20:00 I saw a doco on Russia the other day, fantastic filming, but every second sentence said 'this was due to the effects of climate change", or "they are measuring the effects of climate change"

I predict that soon people will get climate changed out.

On I think Seven Sharp? the other day was an item about some maths whiz kids. The focus was on their maths but the problem they had to solve was how many people can the planet support.
The answer was 8.02 billion.
We're nearly there now.

So your answer is shortly.....

Seems Asian and Indian governments need to control population growth.

1461931 2019-07-18 06:53:00 The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places, the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from the Consulate at Bergen Norway.

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 metres showed the gulf stream still very warm.

Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable.

I must apologise. I neglected to mention - this report is from November 2 1922, and was published in The Washington Post.
This catastrophe must have been caused by the Model T Ford's emissions, or possibly by horse and cattle flatulence.

1461932 2019-07-18 11:10:00 That's just the Life Cycle of the Planet Earth; let nature take its course.

We have better things to do than worrying about it.

Just leave it to the bored Politicians - as they have nothing better to do.

My question always is, if you really believe the world is warming what do you think "the world" should do about it?
Drop carbon emsisisons by 5%? (whilst the world's population is forecast to grow by 1 billion in the next 10 years!)

Or Build more nuclear?
Or stop all unescessary air travel
Stop all motor sport
Stop all air con
Stop all heating
Or Drop the world population?

Or do you have another idea?
Do you have any idea how many coal fired power stations there are in India and China?
