| 1458819 | 2019-03-13 15:49:00 | For future referance, another feature all W10's have, remote control access built in. All you need is a Microsoft email address ( to sign in) From the search (or Windows Key + S) type in QUICK, select quick assist, you'll get this: 9415 For the person GIVING the assistance, you need to sign in to your MS account (its free) you then give the number to the person needing help, the rest of the prompts are obvious what to do when you sign in, allow etc. Example, they will get a message along the lines of "Allow insertyourname to control your computer" Normally I'm on the phone when giving the number, but you can send it various other ways (email) The person at the other end has 10 minutes to enter the code other wise it expires (security reasons) BUT once connected you can stay connected for as long as you like. The session only lasts for the time connected so you cant set it to get remote access unattended. wainuitech thanks for that info. I will be having a look into it tomorrow as I am about to hit the hay now at 4:45am. Not sure if I have a MS Email address. I do have a MS Account though. MS Email address...is that using Outlook? I have been a Gmail user for years. Will have a look into it in the morrow Cheers ps: as yet I have not installed MS Office 2019 to my new computer set up so I will be doing that tomorrow, then I will be able to use Outlook and set up an MS Email Address. |

I have my own business email that I use to log into, and it works fine, I do have outlook.com and outlook.co.nz Accounts as well these work as well. |
