1459657 2019-03-31 21:07:00 I know to use Gmail with outlook I had to set Gmail to allow less secure connections in google.
I wonder if it's something similar but then that should always have been the case.

There's a discussion of the issue with a solution to make thunderbird work without doing that here support.mozilla.org

Might be a red herring, just a guess on my part.

(In Bold) You are NOT wrong -- Had quite a few customer who had changed over to Thunderbird when WLM was shut down, then a short while back when Gmail / Google did some sort of "upgrade" all of a sudden Thunderbird wouldn't work, even when allowing unsecure apps.

Some other Apps also stopped working, one had to laugh at -- Outlook 2019 -- Gmail was saying its out of date, please update to a newer Version :waughh::waughh:

The problem was ONLY with gmail, all other Mail providers with Thunderbird - Not a problem. One program that did /does still work is eM client.

1459663 2019-04-01 08:37:00 Hmm I'm using Thunderbird and Gmail, but I am using Pop3 and so far no issues. Will keep this thread in mind if I do. gary67 (56)
1459664 2019-04-01 19:22:00 Brother uses gmail with IMAP, on desktop laptop, tablet and phone.
He did have to use this 2 step authentication thing on the desktop...not sure if he did on the other devices too.
And it all works just fine.

1459665 2019-04-02 02:58:00 Today I set up win 10's email & shows no email since last Friday, but I been receiving email on my phone.
I also down loaded Eudora, as I used it years ago on XP, but haven't been able to set it up, yet.
Think it sounds like a problem at Gmail end.
What advise do you guys have?
Ian
