2019-03-18 22:58:00 | I have Chrome currently set as my default browser, but I still get sites telling me that I am using Internet Explorer (which they do not support). What is happening? Do some sites automatically use IE? Is it possible to remove IE from my computer completely? Any suggestions will be welcomed. | Richard (739) | |

2019-03-19 03:13:00 | I am using Windows 10 and Chrome is up to date. The sites just have a banner which takes up most of the screen and says "You are using a browser which is no longer supported. Try downloading Chrome". | Richard (739) | |

2019-03-19 04:19:00 | Possibly a silly question, but when I open a web page, how can I tell which browser opened it? Normally I'd just look at the interface and you can tell. If using Windows 10, then IE is still there, as well as Edge. If by some reason you Do Open IE, then yes some sites will say its out of date. One way to tell, is press ctrl+Alt+ Del Open task manager, look on the general tab and it will say. In this case I got Edge open: 9425 Just for fun opened them all :D 9426

2019-03-19 04:25:00 | In Win 10 you can select whichever browser you wish to be the default in settings and that will be the one that opens a web page unless you use a different one. My default browser is Edge but for some things I use Chrome without any confusion. Wai is a lot better at explaining than me :)

2019-03-19 04:32:00 | Default is set to Chrome. In task manager, only IE is listed in processes, and shows in the details window as running. Weird. | Richard (739) | |
