Well I was one of the mugs that believed everything and bought one.
Actually it wasn't too bad - and unlike a quality brand wizard stick I tried was fine with nuts and ice etc.
Made good milk shakes.
They were much smaller than they appeared on TV though and could only process enough food for two people. Well there were only two of us!
I did have problems with the containers and had to return two of them for replacement.
But the "lifetime guarantee" obviously was a joke. As mine has gone down now (a plastic component just crumbled into dust) I tried to find them - no luck of course and I'm not really bothered. Will try a new device - any comments or suggestions anybody?

Yep - true.
But how many of us have bought reputable brands then been disappointed!
I did mention that I had tried a "name" brand before I bought the Do It All.
This was a German firm I had the utmost respect for, but I was amazed to find on opening the packet and reading the manual that I was not to use the device for shaving or powdering ice. Not only that but also "nuts" were excluded.
I remember wondering just what the heck we were supposed to use the thing for - not even milk shakes were possible.
I returned the thing. The Do It All had no problems with these items. I must admit I am sorry it has failed.

That first item might be what you want (ice crushing power!).

(Must say their website text colour choice doesn't impress me :yuck:)

1167908 2011-01-07 09:15:00 When I first got given a stick blender, I decided to try it out making instant pudding... What a mess :yuck:

I now have a George Forman stick blender that I usually use as a mini food processor. They are so much more useful with all the attachments.

Probably best it stays that way.

Well Metla I am trying to attach a photo of a Do It ALL to this thread - but I am having problems so am just keeping my fingers crossed.
But the intention is there.

Stuff on infomercials. mmm.

Buy a proper food processor. Had mine for the last 29 years, it's switch (where the top pushes down) sticks a bit now. Not bad for it's age.

And I do all sorts in it too.

Good advice.
Our food processor didn't last all that long - but it was very good while it lasted.
However we need something much smaller - for only two of us we can chop stuff by hand fast enough normally, but we do like milk shakes and need to process ice cubes occasionally.
I looked at a well known name brand in Noel Leemings the other day and unbelievably it had the same warnings I found on one umpteen years ago - do not use with ice, nuts or chocolate. I mean what the hell use is it?
