2011-01-05 01:26:00 | In the Herald Twaddle, 32, signalled his intention ..... and in the next paragraph Twaddle, 34, has been heavily involved in the success .... In the next article Then Sparc got cold feet, reneged on funding Fouhy's separate campaign in Europe, wanted him back in the national camp, and now the frustrated 31-year-old has had enough and retired. How hard is it for them to at least agree how old he is, let alone research it properly?

2011-01-05 04:29:00 | Can't be arsed reading what they copy/pasted? Yup. The first quote was probably from an article written two years ago. The second quote was probably from an article this year. :2cents:

2011-01-05 05:30:00 | I occasionally read 'news' that was copied and pasted, and never proof-read, as it contains "Advertisement follows" stuck bang in the middle of a sentence. Yeah, the internet has really dumbed down reporting. Print media are little better, relying too heavily on spell checkers that are screwing up text by substituting inappropriate words. Newspapers should never use the 'Replace All' option!

2011-01-05 06:14:00 | Or takes TVNZ Weather forecasts as gospel (see "It's gonna be a Sunny Night in Auckland tonight!") Agreed. I have actually witnessed a number of events in my lifetime and when I read the news later I have to think maybe I saw something entirely different.

2011-01-06 07:37:00 | Back in the day news was worth it, I did not enjoy reading how some kid fell down an waterfall and survived because he was fat. When I read that I was thinking "what the hell was the silly bugger doing in the river that was swollen/fast with heavy rain?"
