1168006 2011-01-07 19:49:00 Yet more tax I will never have to pay. :D pcuser42 (130)
1168007 2011-01-07 22:33:00 Although I've never smoked myself, smokers should be allowed to smoke without this excessive tax to make them try to quit.

Next they'll be putting up the tax on margaritas, where will it end . .

So you think we should be allowed to sell something that slowly kills people?

People should have the right to kill themselves, slowly or otherwise.

1168012 2011-01-07 22:47:00 I gave up after 55 years, don't miss them at all, you have to ask yourself, why ingest poison.

Unles of course you think it is good for you.

I gave up after nearly 30 years. I gave up for a reason. I felt that I could not tell my children not to smoke if I did. It worked on one out of two.

And I think that is the key to giving up: you need a reason and the reason has to be your own reason, not someone else's reason.

That will take some shopping, where the hell do you buy Hawaiian shirts these days??

I won't be smoking however, for anyone who is concerned. :D

1168015 2011-01-08 01:39:00 I gave up the nicotine poisoning 60 years ago, older brother and younger brother followed suit, helped to improve stamina on the rugby field, better breathing we thought at that time.

Wife used to smoke until we moved to Christchurch and she saw the state of health her "smoking" mother was in and gave up just like that.

Our two kids had started early, but when they saw their Grandmother in hospital with emphysema, they kicked it pretty damn quick too.

If people want to kill themselves smoking or whatever, let them, same with those who speed away from the Police and kill themselves, they won't be doing that again, I'm very sorry to say.

Lurking.
