1167863 2011-01-07 05:27:00 I buy from PB all the time, have a wholesale account, and I have also had a problem with them this week with an order being delayed and taking two days to be dispatched.
I'll forgive them this time though due to the time of year and they are probably only running a limited number of staff etc until next week.
Normally get great service from them otherwise.

1167864 2011-01-07 06:14:00 They only ship their online orders from their Penrose branch, not from any other store.

If there was only one item in stock at the North Shore branch.

It wasn't an online order. That wouldn't work at the time.
I rang him.
The customer was in Edendale, SOuthland.
Yes she could have gone into town but I didn't really think she should buy a Dlink which is what everyone was selling down there.
And she didn't want to spend a lot, no wireless or other fancy bits.
hard enough me helping her st things up over the phone....

North Shore showed one in stock which is also why I rang Nth Shore. Turned out they didn't. It was an error - even though it was still showing 1.
OK, girl then selected a netcomm, showed several in stock. But apparently not either. More mistakes.

And no my 2 remaining suppliers don't sell them - they have Dlink or Netgear. No way I wanted to help customer with a Netgear. Bad enough last time on a basic Dlink interface, she had enough trouble with that.

Never mind I know what she should see, eventually she does after years of denying the menu or button or whatever exists.
Still, she is improving, learnt a bit now in 2 years.

1167865 2011-01-07 06:24:00 Usually the ISPs are pretty good at sending out replacement routers preconfigured & either charging them to your account or signing you up to a new contract. That is a lot easier than talking a customer through configuring their router over the phone. Greven (91)

The best place for those pre-configured routers is in the bin.

And the best thing you can do for someone is to provide a worthwhile replacement.

They should go under.

No excuse for bad service, and lack of communication is unforgivable.

I'm with you. I made an on-line order once and it took >7 days to deliver.

But they are pretty good (as you said) if you pay cash and pick up your oders personally.

Don't know about their warranty services; just sent back a faulty Dlink USBB wireless adapter 2 days ago and was told that it's going to take 2 - 3 weeks! Is this acceptable?

Anyone here with any experiences in their warranty services with them?

1167872 2011-01-08 08:01:00 Never used PB Tech, always use CL or Elive, never had any problems with either of those stores. Netsukeninja (13296)
