| 1203161 | 2011-05-18 21:14:00 | Our desktop PC had some virus issues and after we had run AVG and SpyBot our broadband connection failed. Message reads No TCP/IP could be found - or similar and when I look at the property settings there are no numbers. Is this is as it should be? What number should I be seeing? I have tried a restore, after the restore has completed the n=message read No changes were made . I am not sure if a restore has been done or if there is still a virus/ malware still in the system. Any help offers much appreciated.:help: | Swampy (2426) | ||
| 1203162 | 2011-05-18 21:23:00 | Was it a rootkit? What version of windows is it?? If tcpip.sys is missing you should be able to extract it from the cd/dvd if you have it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1203163 | 2011-05-18 22:08:00 | Sorry - I should have advised we are running XP SP3. Not sure what a "rootkit" is ? How would I go about extracting the TCP/IP from the CD which we do have - Legit copy . |
