1202941 2011-05-18 01:15:00 Hi

I have been trialling gwabbit (see www . gwabbit . com) with Outlook .

Basically it scans your emails as you open them and automatically populates their email signature into a contact record to give you the option to save should you want to .

I've found it works very well and am considering buying it . However before I do, does anyone know if there is a better (read cheaper/free) option available .

Its the sort of thing I think Outlook should do by itself .

Cheers

1202942 2011-05-18 01:19:00 In Outlook with an Email open I just right click the From field and add to contacts. It works for me. Snorkbox (15764)

1202944 2011-05-18 06:09:00 I don't understand what the software does. Why would you want to save someone's email signature? I've never seen any that were interesting or useful enough to need saving. Agent_24 (57)

I've never seen any that were interesting or useful enough to need saving. The point is it turns them into contact records that contain more than just the sender's name and email address - signatures often contain things like title, phone / fax numbers, physical addresses etc - and if you manage a large number of contacts, automating the process can be useful.
