| 1202704 | 2011-05-17 04:53:00 | Remember a while back a few of you were getting phone calls from an Indian saying that your Windows install had errors and you should follow his instructions? Well, I have been asked by a friend to look at her sister-in-laws computer at some stage - she believed him and followed the instructions :eek: Anyway, (as prep for what I could be fixing) I can't find the thread about it.. so what is it that they install/break that I will end up fixing? I will probably end up going over this weekend to look at it |

| 1202706 | 2011-05-17 04:57:00 | Some of the things they do is uninstall various antivirus / antimalware software you may have, and lately turn off lots of services, create new accounts. Different Callers, do different things, so its a bit awkward to name them exactly. Some dont do anything apart from clean out temp files, generally open/close windows, looking like they are doing something, but aren't. |
