1169621 2011-01-13 23:44:00 Just the tip of the 'iceberg'? Story in today's Howick & Pakurang Times (www.times.co.nz php)

Made a brief search on NZ herald and found so many of them! I think MoH's system is not quite right or our so-called 'Professionals' are too greedy?

Down in Invercargill a certain important National MPs brother owns a chemist and he was naughty boy too.

1169623 2011-01-14 00:32:00 Fail to understand why those 'professionals' are so greedy, they are already earning huge money without doing all those monkey tricks. Where have their professional ethics gone to? All sent back to their teachers! Or, they haven't learned that, at all. Look at the profit margin they marked up on those medicines, at least 40% For example, a bottle of 'Losec' capsules sells around $15.00 and you know how much is their cost? < $7.00 bk T (215)
1169624 2011-01-14 01:58:00 ethics?
profit margin , at least 40%

Yes, You explained it alright.
You know I got prescribed some aspirin once, wanted the non-dissoling ones and that was going to be an extra charge according to chemist lady.
Went into Countdown and bought theirs instead for cheaper than the subsidised prescription was going to be.

1169626 2011-01-14 04:36:00 And, on top of their profit of the medicine, they can claim from MoH $5.00 per item they dispensed. This information is what I got from a pharmacist friend. bk T (215)
1169627 2011-01-14 04:59:00 Aggravated by there usually being to many of the greedy buggers in a town. Cicero (40)
