We drove from Chch to Hanmer Springs and then onto Picton on Highway 6A I think, which was more hilly and turny and we were the only ones on that road pretty much (thanks a lot to the GPS) but if we looked at the map we would of went the same way ... :rolleyes: Which way do most people go? Do they go almost right back to Chch and then head north on SH1?	Nomad (952)
1169125	2011-01-12 19:13:00	I would have gone the way you did, as coming through Nelson takes you out of your way. So i'm guessing you drove to St Arnaud then up to Picton via Blenheim? Going back to Christchurch and up the coast through Kaikoura is a bit longer and just as windy	gary67 (56)
