Some of them are, certainly, as with many others in other political factions, but often they have the foresight knowledge of human impacts and are simply doing what they can to minimise the damage we would cause to our own lives. In my view the Pike River Mine effort shouldn't have gone ahead at all. We shouldn't be mining for coal in this day and age. Coal is so 18th century. AND OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY. So are coal miners, commercial fisherman, oil companies, etc. They don't live in the real world where their destructive actions have dire consequences. |
