As Johcar says, as far as women are concerned, it is required and, of course, very necessary.;) We are living in a PC world nowadays which means for people who do not wish to advertise their homosexuality can refer to their Partner as simply that without causing that awkwardness between people. However my Lesbian Sister still refers to her Wife as is. Therefore I conclude - Personal Choice. Poofters who use the term 'partner' are only attempting to disguise the fact that they are poofters, but use of the term may make one suspect that they are poofters. If they do not want to advertise their homosexuality then it is obvious that they are ashamed of the fact and using the term simply confirms what one may suspect. If you're a queer, have the guts to say that you're bent. You don't have to hide it these days. |
