Be prepared for a long wait.

1168654 2011-01-18 09:40:00 If these figures are correct, a 100% cut by NZ would have absoluely no effect, so why have all the Kiwi flat earth greenies got their knickers in a twist. KenESmith (6287)

Ahhh Wikipedia aye.

Well Wikipedia, whilst being useful, isn’t a source of indisputable knowledge, given that anybody can contribute there. Even those with agendas.

From Wikipedia’s home page.

“People of all ages, cultures and backgrounds can add or edit article prose, references, images and other media here. What is contributed is more important than the expertise or qualifications of the contributor”.

I note also from the reference you provided that NZ only contributes 0.11% of the total, which leads me to wonder what use our Carbon Emission Tax is.

Dare I suggest the only thing our Carbon Emission Tax is affecting is the local economy? :groan:

Going back to the Queensland floods, may I also suggest they would have been flooded, even if they were paying a “Carbon Emission Tax”? ;)

This Global Warming / Climate Change / Climatic Disruption / Green House Gasses / Carbon Taxes hysteria has to end soon surely. :crying

So you pick and choose which bits on Wiki support your agenda.
And don't tell us you don't have one.

The interesting thing is we are producing more emission per head than China . . .

America produces the most per head, with Australia a close second, India being next to nothing (about 5 times less than us) . . .

Food for though .

Well clearly if that is the case, we should be following China or India's standards.

No I don’t have an agenda, unless you consider not being sucked in by fools an agenda.

The populations in India and China are 300 times larger than our own. Obviously they will use far more resources than us and produce more rubbish and emissions (along with everything else).

But both China and India, whom everyone readily blames for these emissions, aren't all that guilty compared to "the west".

Global warming is a natural phenomenon, it has happened many times before and it will happen many times in the future (so long as we don't blow this planet up), we shouldn't really give a toss.

All we are doing is wasting money on this BS and stealing money from business hampering our economies.
