| 1202661 | 2011-05-17 12:00:00 | The machine was only supposed to take 4 days to build, box, single 4g stick of ram, single HD, generic case and PSU, septron, $80 grafix card . Four days to build? Then took a month to deliver? With no Windows CD and no COA? That's pathetic . What a useless bunch of fools . If I took that long to build and ship a PC I'd be ashamed of myself . They should be too . By the way, a single RAM stick isn't the best choice, even Semprons can handle dual channel since socket 939, a single stick will slow you down, and since Sempron is the budget line you want all the help you can get . Also generic PSUs are usually rubbish, and by the sounds of the budget for this build they would have used the cheapest they could get . Cheap PSUs are not good . If they don't blow up in the first month they'll slowly ruin your PC anyway when the rubbish-grade capacitors quickly fail and the ripple current skyrockets . |

It was a spur of the moment purchase as my old box (xp circa 2003 then 2005 then 2008) refused to boot after being in storage . Fearing blown graphics card I ordered the other machine because needed a office machine quickly . Irony has it that its taken so long to arrive I spent a weekend a diassembling then reassembling the old machine (AMD 64-4000 asrock 939 MB 4G RAM and x800xl AGP) in case it was a connection issue (error message about graphic card failure) and disconnected the spare drives and the soundblaster card in case the 9 year old enermax transformer was the issue - nope) then reinstalled drivers, . . . . . . it booted fine and its up and running . . . well W7 looks pretty though I think old machine could run it just as well . next machine will be high spec sandy bridge machine with silly grafics card ssd and might play with water cooling . Not surprisingly wont be using the same shop . . . . . |

It might be this shop cant get the suppliers to supply to them, hence no CD's or licenses & delay on parts. Could be the reason -- Suppliers kind of dont supply if you refuse to pay them - once any overdue is paid, they normally are quite happy to supply again. |

Ohh no cash and you dont have the refund eftpos card actually on you...And the boss isnt answering the phone just now....I'll get him to contact you as soon as i can find him.... Went to a competitor ...W7 Home premium licences OEM? yes sir got a box out the back with a 100 of the them in them, buy a sata cable and I'll sell you it now. The saga continues |

Unfortunately I used to work for a company who played these games. Take the money knowing they cant supply the goods, then the excuses just start flowing out. Exactly the sort of excuses you mentioned. Even if you go to the disputes tribunal, they still wont/cant pay up. Try the Commerse Commission. Trading while Insolvent ?? You have to think about how much time & effort you want to put into trying to get a refund. Chances are you wont (from personal experience) . |
