1168699 2011-01-12 07:38:00 Have they improved the signage yet?

Coming south a year ago we took the bypass and ended up in Taupo?!? The i-Site said a lot of people were having that problem

1168701 2011-01-12 09:00:00 It's about time they built a decent motorway between Auckland & Wellington. Something to cut the travel time in half & avoid all those tin pot towns & diabolical road surfaces that bottle up the traffic Phil B (648)

It took them over 10 years to get the bypass built and you want a motorway from Auckland to Wellington :p

Back to Topic if your going to Kinloch you might as well stay on the old SH1 which as pointed out is quiter now or use the western perimeter road. There is little to be gained using the new bypass for Kinloch.

Sure appreciate all the comments.

I spoke to God about that request and he said he couldn't do that. So then I asked, instead of that, if he could explain how a womans mind worked.

His reply was "2 lanes or 4 my son"

Why - there's a perfectly good railway line :devil

I have done that before. It was painfully slow and reasonable uncomfortable. I have never been so bored in my life, and I like trains! If they get a bullet train, yes. Otherwise, hell no.

1168708 2011-01-13 00:13:00 I would bypass Taupo too, there are no motorways in NZ yet anyway there might be the odd dual carriage way but not a motorway. To be a motorway there needs to be a higher speed limit than the open road, and not allow trucks and buses out in the third lane gary67 (56)
