This.

Whatever case you like but DO NOT get the crappy bundled PSU with it. get a decent quality Corsair PSU put in it.

1202873 2011-05-18 03:57:00 Depends on your goals a little, the last one looks good to me.

Some notes to help you decide:
1. Video encoding - i7 fastest, i5 still fast, AMD bringing up the rear (sorry AMD fans it's just true) if you want to encode a lot and are not patient get an i7.
2. Quick sync - speeds up video encoding considerably on supported software. Requires use of integrated graphics on H67 or the new chipset (not among your options) - can also be enabled using 3rd party software. Not available on a P67 board.
3. Dedicated graphics card - if you intend to game to any degreee you need one, and as fast as possible. May make quick sync unusable rendering point 2. moot.
4. 8G of RAM seems to be the current sweet spot.
5. the only real difference between an i5 2500 and an i7 2600 is a small amount of clock speed and hyperthreading which improves multithreaded performance in some applications. The i5 is a great choice if money is tight.

Option 2 bud.....!

1202874 2011-05-18 04:23:00 Majority support seems to be for option 2:

option 2) $1329 (W/ WINDOWS 7)

## Intel Core i7 2600 3 . 4Ghz Quad Core Processor 6MB LGA1155
## NEW B3 Stepping GIGABYTE H67MA-D2H LGA1155 Intel H67 mATX USB3 & SATA3 Motherboard
> True USB 3 . 0 -10X Faster Date Rates!
> True SATA 6Gb/s RAID Support
## Hynix 8GB(2 x 4GB) PC-10600 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
## Western Digital Blue Edition 1TB 3 . 5" 7200RPM 32M SATA3 Hard Drive
## LG 22x Speed Plus DVD Writer
## Intel HD Graphics 2000 Technology
## Foxconn TLM-141 Black & Silver Micro ATX case with Acbel 500W PSU
## Genuine Windows 7 64bit Home Editon Pre-installed (Comes with installtion CD and Licence Key)

So at the moment, I think I'll buy it . Only drawback to this seems to be lack of a decent vid card . I wonder if I can perhaps just request a diff vid card . Or else, any ideas where I could build an equivalent system for an equivalent price?

To open up another can of worms, it's my understanding that Adobe CS5's mercury playback engine utilises only some graphics cards .

-GeForce GTX 285 (Windows and Mac OS)
-GeForce GTX 470 (Windows)
-GeForce GTX 570 (Windows)
-GeForce GTX 580 (Windows)

If this was to improve real time rendering etc, maybe I should try get one of these on the above system yeah?
Thanks for the help team

1202875 2011-05-18 05:11:00 Mr Wax, you can add a video card at any point into the pc, it is a relatively easy process.
CS5 does use CUDA which is only available for Nvidia cards, however i thought Adobe was also supporting the AMD compute code, but I could be wrong..
If you would a nvidia card for graphic add about $350 for a GTX460
