| 1202697 | 2011-05-18 05:06:00 | My Sky hdi also mucks up the aspect ratios - and can't be fixed. T box sounds the same.That is interesting. It seems a bit pointless having a wide-screen TV if you can't view full screen pictures on all channels. Thats progress.? T-Box was not a good investment. |

| 1202698 | 2011-05-18 06:10:00 | The aspect button on our Bravia (EX700 series) normally toggles between "full", "zoom" and "wide zoom" (it sometimes has a 14:9 option too): full = normal 16:9 full screen zoom = about +20% linear enlargement vertically and horizontally full zoom = distortion (fills the screen regardless of content) The 20% enlargement is similar to the "1.2x" enlargement on the WD TV HD Live media player (which also has a 10% option). This is very useful and compensates very well for the most common type of black border (eg CNN) |

They reckon there is nothing I can do. Also if I purchsed a new Sony model it would be the same. That is obviously incorrect info' if the Aspect button works on your new model. It is very hard to get correct info' and I am sure Retailers will tell you anything.? What is your Sony Model.? |
