Granted you're entitled to your opinions and feelings on the subject, but I still see no need for you to be so crass about it?! I suppose it is because I find it extremely difficult to understand how you can feel sexually attracted to your own sex. I was brought up to abhor that sort of behaviour and the term 'poofter' seems to describe that type of person so much better than 'gay.' The latter term is more pc and seemingly makes the act of being a queer seem respectable, which, of course, it isn't. I have known a few poofters in my time and, in most cases, have found them nice people but that does not change the fact that what they are doing is an affront to normal decency. A pommie friend of mine told me why he left England. He said that you could be imprisoned for a homosexual act, then they made it a fine, then they made it legal. Being rabidly opposed to such people is no different from racism or anything else. There's enough violence and hatred in the world already without joining in.
