1202557 2011-05-16 19:59:00 Hi all.

Thinking of upgrading from office 2003 to 2010 but see that 2010 doesn't have Outlook (not in the Home version) so I'm considering a replacement client.

To help me with this I'd appreciate knowing what your favourite is and why.

Thanks!

1202558 2011-05-16 20:16:00 You don't mention which version of windows which would be a help.

Windows7 doesn't have Outlook Express.

I have recently moved to Win7 and have gone back to Thunderbird for email. In addition to Thunderbird, if you have been a user of Outlooks Calendar, you can get Sunbird and Lightning for Thunderbird which integrate well with other, down side though is there is no PST import into Sunbird that I could find.

1202560 2011-05-16 20:58:00 I use Outlook 2010,as its part of the office I have.

Other wise Windows Live Mail works fine, its kind of a cross between Outlook and and Outlook Express, it also has a calendar if you need one.

I found a lot amateur reviews dis'ng Live Mail but pro reviews weren't so harsh. I'll look at Live mail and Thunderbird more closely.

Thanks Guys!

1202563 2011-05-16 23:10:00 Small things bugged me about Thunderbird so I've recently switched to Postbox (http://postbox-inc.com/) which, although isn't freeware (at the moment it's $30USD), I am quite happy with. sal (67)
1202564 2011-05-16 23:36:00 My favourite is Outlook Express 6

Simple, easy to use, and no extra crap, and no stupid GUI with fancy rubbish taking up half the screen.

Thunderbird is not too bad either, but could be better.

1202565 2011-05-16 23:54:00 You could always stick with Outlook 2003 while having Word/Excel/PP/ON 2010 Alex B (15479)
1202566 2011-05-17 00:08:00 Have not got a favourite, but use Windows Live Mail.
