I wonder how much the search cost and who is going to pay.

They have been looking for a couple of days.

1169171 2011-01-12 20:36:00 Suffice to say, there's more to the story, and either he or his wife have some psychological issues.

At least he ain't drowned.

1169174 2011-01-13 04:25:00 Well, I reckon he met this beautiful mermaid while diving and she had come from a spacecraft that was hovering above. She invited him back for some nooky in the spacecraft, only its navigation system was on the blink, so after the nooky (which he enjoyed immensely), it dropped him off in Clive, not Titahi Bay. For the 50,000 it cost us. I demand an explanation on his so called "issues".
From what has been said so far is, 1) We pay his wages, 2) we paid for his search and rescue...
I also demand that he pay every one of those 50,000 back... He is charged yet no one is revealing?
I don't understand what is going on... Time to tell his story and shame him.

1169176 2011-01-13 08:22:00 Don't be funny ... he'll just write a book about how he swam backstroke from Titahi Bay to Clive in two days without food, water ... or nooky ... sell the film rights and retire to the Gold Coast.

The NZ taxpayer will foot the bill as usual.

1169177 2011-01-13 18:02:00 Stress can do very un-funny things to a person. He needs respect and space.
Pity his problems are now public interest.
I hold him no grudge and wish him well for the future.
The Police should just quietly drop the charges if they care for his health.
