| 1203979 | 2011-05-21 11:13:00 | I'm going to upgrade my WD Elements External HDD with a new 1tb one. The plan is to take out the old 640gb one and put the 1tb in the chassis. The 640 will become a new HDD for my resurrected RROD 360. Where is a good place to buy 1tb drives in wellington. Drive only, desktop (5.25"? can't remember exact dimentions :p) rather cheaply. I mean, I can get one for $80 on Trademe or $100 in a store but maybe some of you know better places. Also, do you think it would be better to scrap this whole idea and buy a bigger 2.5" drive that can go directly in the 360's drive bay. Drive only or with enclosure, since if I get one with an enclosure the 14gb drive in the 360 can become a little external HDD. So to clarify (since its a bit messy to read I guess) ->Good places to buy 1tb HDD (drive only) or 500gb ish 2.5" HDD with enclosure ->Should I use a desktop HDD or a Laptop HDD in 360 HDD container? Cheers! Btw, don't bother informing me that you can't use non M$ HDD's on the 360 because I know thats true. Mine is an exception :D |
