| 1203816 | 2011-05-21 04:36:00 | ok... got a new pc running windows 7 connects to internet good.. opened laptop running Vista and no internet connection at all the laptop was previously networked to an xp machine and that was great .. googled to find solution. one suggestion was to make sure network discovery was turned on.... now i no longer have that option on my laptop. laptop shows that there is a wireless network available so i click on connect to a network then it shows that my home network is there under that it says this ...DLink 2 ... the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. cant connect to the home network and have no idea how to fix the other help please :) i just tried hardwiring the laptop and it connected just fine ...as soon as i took wire out it disconnected |

To remove the old connection - ( this is from memory) Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center, Manage Wireless Networks, select the current one, right click it and delete. as soon as i took wire out it disconnected (Sorry cant resist) -- Funny That :D |
