1203445 2011-05-19 23:53:00 Hi All.

H Home SP3. Toshiba L 10 laptop.

When I am sitting in the conservatory, even with the blinds drawn, the screen is hard to see when he sun is shining.
I have looked thro' Display & cannot see how to change the screen brightness etc. Is there an easy way to do this? TIA PJ.

1203449 2011-05-20 00:25:00 Try adjusting brightness with Function key/F7 (Fn/F7), if that doesn't work try your Power settings in Control Panel, may be under Toshiba Power Saving or similar (controls your screen brightness/battery performance when on battery or charging/plugged-in).
Could also be a battery-shaped icon on the RH end of the taskbar.

1203450 2011-05-20 00:43:00 I had assumed that John had already checked those details - hence my earlier comments :) Zippity (58)

Fn/F7 brings up an Icon but it doesn't stay there to adjust.

Looked at power settings & not there.

Looked at Battery Icon& is set at 'Laptop'.

Looked in display & nowt there.

Whats next? PJ.

1203453 2011-05-20 01:55:00 Did you right-click the battery icon? On my HP netbook (W7 Starter) it shows Adjust Screen Brightness and Power Options amongst others, I dont have a Toshiba so cant advise step by step. feersumendjinn (64)
