1169919 2011-01-15 19:12:00 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), or KB976932, has been pre-released to OEM manufacturers and we are pleased to provide site visitors with the final version. We can confirm, with accuracy, that this is the final, official, digitally signed version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 which has been scheduled for imminent release to manufacturers (RTM), but has not yet appeared on Windows Update. This download also includes Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1.

The 32-bit and 64-bit versions are compatible with all languages. The 64-bit version also includes the Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 RTM.

1169920 2011-01-15 19:32:00 Pity they are only offering it as a torrent download, I'd prefer a straight download gary67 (56)

1169922 2011-01-15 19:40:00 SP1 for OEM's came out the other day. I dont think it was released for everyone. Its on torrents, because it was leaked. It may not be released to everyone else till March Speedy Gonzales (78)
1169923 2011-01-15 20:04:00 As I expected which is why I'm in no hurry to download it gary67 (56)
1169924 2011-01-15 21:54:00 Found these Windows 7 RTM (www.softpedia.com) x86 = 537.9MB & x64 = 903.2MB.

From reading so far, the SP contains most of the updates already Via Windows updates.

1169925 2011-01-15 22:01:00 Yup there's not a lot of fixes in it, besides whats been released already. Except for that Remotefx thing, and HyperV I think Speedy Gonzales (78)
1169926 2011-01-15 22:05:00 It will be useful to slipstream though if doing a clean re-install, it would save a lot of update downloads. Terry Porritt (14)
1169927 2011-01-16 00:49:00 I'm waiting for Microsoft to put it on Windows Updates.

It will be nice to see my Computer say in Control Panel "Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit Service Pack 1".

1169928 2011-01-16 02:20:00 Just installed it on a workshop / Muck around PC.

After you run the clean up Via the command prompt, or as I did made a bat file ( lazy eh!) I recovered 1 GB of space - (Before SP1 was installed) - the cleanup removes all previous Windows updates since they are in SP1 anyway.
Example: Pre SP1 used 12.7 GB - after SP1, and cleanup run, now only used 11.7GB

Only thing -- once run, you cant uninstall SP1 if you wanted to.
