2011-01-16 07:59:00 | First, how much you can bench press means **** all. Secondly the name does not imply you will feel dead after it. It's a dead weight that you lift. Thought that was obvious. First, I never said it meant anything. Secondly, I'm simply voicing how I feel, not claiming anything more. Why so confrontational Wolf?

2011-01-16 09:07:00 | ^ Good memory. Just tired of Arnolds running around thinking they know everything about anything. Especially after reading through some of your Mr Powerlifter posts in this thread. Seriously people still do that sport? And Melta....honestly? I may not have the body fat you have, nor the "im better than everyone" attitude but I sure as hell am not skinny and weak.

2011-01-16 10:15:00 | people still do that sport?Yep, though not so much in NZ. There are a few competitions every year here, though there are few entrants especially in the higher weight classes. It's a great sport, fantastic for strength gain and muscle. I was told the All Blacks do some form of powerlifting (not to be confused with weightlifting) for their strength training. I've only started a year ago, and collectively I have nothing to be proud of, so I hope you don't classify me as one of those 'know-it-all' Arnolds.

2011-01-16 10:44:00 | Dude, 50kg is nothing. I lift 120-140kg three times a week. ;) Haha yea 50kg is nothing at all. Although it may have been bulky and a pain in the ass to move. Just because of the sheer size of it :D Here's (www.youtube.com) an awesome video of how much I hope to squat one day!

2011-01-16 11:08:00 | Dude, 50kg is nothing. I lift 120-140kg three times a week. ;) I used to work at countdown, got to the point where I was lifting three crates of milk at once, constantly for about half an hour, each one weighs roughly 18kg each, so about 50-54kgs. Not bad for a weedy fella like me.

Just because of the sheer size of it :D Wouldn't say it's NOTHING.....I only said it half-jokingly...... But yeah, you seen this squat fail on youtube? Watch from 0:44 for the best part: www.youtube.com That's why you gotta watch out with this sorta sport......apparently a 16-year old died recently after getting trapped under 85kgs. Not a good way to die man. |
