| 1203842 | 2011-07-14 02:12:00 | Is the phone in the correct mode? Many phones these days will present themselves as any one of several different devices; the default one is usually a modem. If you're just wanting to transfer pictures off it, you'd normally need to put it into the correct mode first, which will cause it to present itself as a USB Mass Storage or MTP/PTP device. Simply transferring photos off the phone does not usually require an extra driver, but using the phone as a modem usually does (unless using the Vista / Win7 RNDIS driver, or presenting as a USB ethernet device). Which model of phone is this? Yeah, was gonna say my phone has a "Printing mode" a "Memory card mode" and a "PC suite" mode. It says which one you want when you plug it in via USB. |
