Kidding

I usually try to get to the gym everyday and do between 5-10km rowing and about 20km on the bike. Follow that up with some light weights.

Next week I should be getting back into the early morning circuits at the gym on Mon, Wed, Fri.

Tues, Thurs will probably become purely weights days.

Saturday I'm in christchurch competing.

Sunday is my day off!

1169820 2011-01-15 06:41:00 Couple of hundred km on the bike every week, golf couple of times a month, walking to work from the Auckland Ferry Buildings each day (about ten minutes each way).

@gary67 - have you thought about a recumbent? Might take a little getting used to, but no shoulder pressure and they're damn quick...

1169822 2011-01-15 07:00:00 Exercise is simply two 4 letter words stuck together, and you should wash you mouth out using the word inside a civilized forum!

Sadly, apart from climbing stairs a lot I get little exercise, and it is a cause for some concern.
I've noticed a correlation with body mass and walking speeds, with slim people walking briskly, and obese people sauntering along at a very annoying pace (annoying when you're stuck behind them). I do have to wonder if the idle pace is adding to the obesity, or if the idle pace is a result of the obesity... chicken and egg kind of question - which came first?

I think moving with a purpose may help a lot to control weight, and to a lesser degree, fitness.
