| 1203429 | 2011-05-19 22:51:00 | each time I do a clean install of Windows XP there are 100+ security updates. Is there a way to copy these updates from an up-to-date machine & install them in another computer? |

Make a slipstreamed CD with Nlite (www.nliteos.com/) and this (http:) And get something like this (www.ryanvm.net). This file has everything in it. I usually remove MRT (Malicious software removal tool / Browserchoice, WGA, WIndows search etc), with this (voidseesaw.com B06907C8A1245BAE3.7z). You use these addons in RyanVM integrator |

| 1203434 | 2011-05-19 23:32:00 | Try WSUSOFFLINE (download.wsusoffline.net/) - its designed to download all available updates from MS, you can download various versions of windows and Office. Screen shot (http:) It then makes a ISO that you burn to DVD, After a fresh install, I simply first load up Windows Updates ( for XP) add in the first two which verify and then throw in the DVD, start it, then walk away and it does its thing. For Windows Vista or 7 or any of the office updates, I simply throw in the DVD and let it run. After its finished - then go back and check for any new ones Via windows update, may be 1 or 2. Sometimes you have to install some updates, then rerun the DVD to finish off, as some wont install untill previous ones have been rebooted. At any stage you may want to rerun the program, and rerun the program to update it. It looks for whats already been downloaded, then adds it any new ones. Thanks to CyaBro for mentioning the program a while back :thumbs: -- I had completely forgotten about the program. Now it saves LOTS of work. |

| 1203437 | 2011-05-20 03:20:00 | when you extracted the contents of the Zipped File,it will have created a folder called wsusoffline, with a folder structure ( Shown in attachment) the once you have downloaded the updates, if you have selected the option to make an ISO, that will be in the ISO folder. The individual updates will be in the client folder, in separate categories, Eg: for Office, XP, Vista 86 or 64, W7 86 or 64. While you can remove the ISO from its folder, its not a good Idea to remove the individual updates, simply because if you do, and when you rerun the program again to make another up to date ISO, if you have removed the updates, they will download again. leaving them there, the program checks to see whats come through, and whats new. |
