1171590 2011-01-21 23:42:00 I want to buy a new audio system, but i have no clue what is good, I'd be listening to drum 'n' bass alot so id need something with lots of bass but with good quality still, I heard i need an amp to power a large subwoofer so i need one of those too. If someone could point out a good website or some good products that would be helpful, thanks.

Sorry if im posting in an off topic part of the forums.

1171594 2011-01-22 05:16:00 I've heard good things about Microlab speakers. Got the Solo-5C myself, the bass is pretty nice, sound quality overall very good. Mind you though, I'm not exactly an audiophile and this is the highest-end speakers I've ever bought, so I can't really compare to many others. qazwsxokmijn (102)

Are you going to be listening to HiFi(stereo) or looking for surround sound.
Yamaha make excellent amps for both types, but if you are looking for stereo make sure you go with really good speakers. My pick at the moment is PSB speakers out of Canada
They have a good range from budget through to "are you insane" but you do get bang for your buck.
Good luck because it is a wide open field
