1172534 2011-01-26 08:38:00 I can understand Pcteks point, everyone needs learning time, its after giving a specific instruction eg, press enter, it's faster and the person still clicks on everything that drives me mad.
in some cases its just what they are used to but in most other cases the users are arrogant and deliberately try to defy all common sense.

The learner would be better off going on a computer course at the local polytech where tutors do not get angry.

1172537 2011-01-26 13:49:00 Funny clip! Went through that while showing a mate setting up, actually got asked "so how do I get to google?" while actually having google up on the screen with its big ass google logo starting right at her. rob_on_guitar (4196)
1172538 2011-01-27 07:34:00 Oh yeah, memories of folk entering data into one field, then moving the mouse to click into the next field... and repeating the process for all 20 or so fields on the page.

Really frustrating when Enter or Tab or arrow keys will do the same navigation within the blink of an eye.
A learning aid might be to actually disable the mouse and to force people to learn new techniques on the keyboard.

1172539 2011-01-27 07:48:00 I was working on a compujter the other day that had the homepage set to a bing search for google. I don't know how they managed to set that as their homepage without knowing how to set it to Google when they finally got to google. Greven (91)

They probably installed some program from Microsoft that did it for them
