Anybody use mounted cams? I been thinking about it but not sure of how/legalities etc

Mounted cameras are already in use in this country but mainly for reversing. Some larger, newer buses have them mounted both inside (to keep an eye on the passengers) and at the rear so you can see behind you (handy for spotting traffic cops when on the road but most useful for reversing). Mirrors have limitations because they have blind spots. These cameras do not record footage.

Most likely it would be legal to use a front mounted cameras. If you had to operate the camera while driving it would be a safety concern. I am sure that the Police would find the recorded footage that we saw useful.

Yeah i was reading the same flyer this morning, records 15 seconds before and after an event ie hard braking
