| 1206355 | 2011-06-02 09:12:00 | If I am adding a old OS and using wifi to print, is it less reliable than if they all more recent OS and printing via cable? It takes longer to pop up in my computer-network . I just type \\computername if I want it faster . Sometimes I need to reboot the Win7 and/or the Win2k for it to work . For it too be visible (computer network) or for \\computername to work . For the Win2k alone it might connect to the wirelsss router but just cannot access the Internet . Other times sometimes it might print, half a page and automatically reprints a replacement . It might print only 10 pages of 20pages and give up . With Sol's help, have added a string in the registry so Win2k can work with Win7 . I have tried static IP before but had the same problems . Is this just how wireless printing is like for some of the equipment out there? Etc etc . . same workgroup, diff computername, have admin rights etc . . . . |
