Firstly, my apologies if I am duplicating existing thread. I use WinXP and IE8. When I try to open or save a file I find that the folders and files seem to be in order of most recently used. Previously I had Folders first, then files, all in alphabetic order. I don't know what I or my wife did if anything to change it or when. I find it easier to use the old system and would like to restore it. Can anyone help? |

go into the folder, right click on a blank part of the window, select "arrange icons by" and try type or one of the other options. See if this does what you wan't. You should be able to do something similar in the save file option of IE8 as well. |

The right click, and arrange workd like a dream, obviously too easy for me to find. Thanks, it will remove one frustration. |
