What sort of people/machines/clowns send out texts BEFORE 5AM telling ME that my credit card is going to expire??
Is it really that urgent? Can't it wait till normal hours when normal people tend to be awake?

Apparently I am not the only one: www.facebook.com

Love 2degrees, but not loving the 4.08am text this morning reminding me that me credit card details were due to expire *yawn*

Anyone here also suffer stolen sleep courtesy of 2d?

That's a good question.

Do you turn your phone off when you go to bed?

Well me if the phone is turned off and a truck breaks down at night they will ring someone else with their phone on.

Yes, my family is on the other side of the globe. So I don't want to receive texts in the middle of the night

Plenty of us would like to be contactable in an emergency situation, even at night. An upcoming credit card expiry is not an emergency.

Almost as smart as the Steve Jobs answer to not hearing iPhone emails/notifications overnight, put it on silent.

Um, some people are on call for work, and cellphones are used, therefore you must hear them.

ASBBank sends out text alerts on low balances...they do it as the transaction is processed, normally about midnight. You'd think they (and 2Degrees) would defer this time of thing till a more sleep friendly time.

1174315 2011-02-01 19:58:00 They're idiots, plain and simple. Vodafone fixed this issue around 3 years ago now:
