1174607 2011-02-04 23:17:00 Polls infallibly indicate that a poll has (claimed to have) been taken. R2x1 (4628)

I didn't mean it like that, I just wanted to see what the polls looked like for all the parties.
The only polls google seems to want to give me is crap dating back to last year, most results are dating back to 2008 and earlier.

Looks like dramatic falls for ACT and the Greens. I'd be happy to see them both out of the next government.

Don't worry it was just political manoeuvring to try and scare National voters not to stray from the fold. When the elections are done JK will go into coalition with the devil if he needs to.

1174613 2011-02-05 00:50:00 Polls don't mean a thing, especially this far out from an election.
While Labour hope to be tomorrow's men, they are still yesterday's men and their team is predominently made up with people who featured in the Clark administartion that the NZ voter came to loath.

The fact that Winston Chamelion Peters can still strut the NZ political stage says volumes for the lack of political nouse and sophistication of New Zealander voter.

Since there are many seats that Labour could nominate a donkey as their candidate and it would be voted in, and a significant number that national could nominate a monkey as the candidate and it would get elected, the election result hangs on the marginals where intelligent voting, if such a thing is possible, and the list member selected by the lunatic fringe that will decide who the government is.

The only thing certain is that the loser will be the people of New Zealand.

It is of note that the promised referendum on MMP has never been held, and while MMP remains NZ will suffer weak poor governments that are compelled to pander to the Luinatic fringe of NZ politics, if thay wish to take the treasury benches.

Is there any sane person out there that really thinks this is a good thing.

1174614 2011-02-05 01:27:00 I never voted for MMP but don't want FPP again as I don't want to see the extremes of the failed pig farmers (RD) days again. We know that JK said there wouldn't be any asset sales in his first term and we know he has plans for the second term even though the majority of NZ are not happy with them. It is asset sales that are going to turn most people away from National which is a shame as I see for the first time since, I think, 2002 we have a trade surplus and if Labour got in again that would be ruined. mikebartnz (21)
