If anyone needs some first hand experience on racism thats a good place to start. |

The critical element is who holds the power . In the USA it was the majority white people over a slave minority . In South Africa it was a white minority over a vast black majority - but the white people had the money, the army, the government - and the power . In Fiji, the indigenous minority hold power over the Fijian-Indian majority . In no way, shape, form, or purpose can Maori be said to have dominant power in NZ . All that aside, I hope the media boycott . I disagree the following definition does not require the perpetrator of rasicm to be of a dominant culture:- rac·ism /ˈreɪsɪzəm/ Show Spelled[rey-siz-uhm] Show IPA –noun 1 . a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others . 2 . a policy, system of government, etc . , based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination . 3 . hatred or intolerance of another race or other races . If your requirement for dominance is followed then all racist slurs and comments by minorities are, by your definition not racism . You give comfort to the lovely Hone . |
