1173870 2011-01-31 02:22:00 I fear you must be mistaken .... surely the heading should read :- Sue Hone ... :D SP8's (9836)
1173871 2011-01-31 03:53:00 I find myself humming the tune of "Bonnie and Clyde", but inserting the words "Hone and Sue". Marnie (4574)
1173872 2011-01-31 03:55:00 Could be termed a marriage made in hell. :(

As they are both activists they could deserve each other!

1173873 2011-01-31 08:38:00 Epic fail, let them try. Sol i think nats didnt quite have enough to gov on their own so yeah to look like they are the good guys they picked the MP, but if they had an election now they would have enough to gov on their own
JK saying the sale of 19% ofthe power co's will probaly put a bit of a spanner in the works.

1173874 2011-01-31 09:29:00 A gap on the left, huh. I didn't know there were people in this country who thought Labour was not left enough....... :o

It's quite terrifying. Imagine the policies. Negative tax for all who earn under $50k perhaps? And making it illegal to tell a child off or imply that they are naughty.

1173875 2011-01-31 09:44:00 Sigh. They have not refilled the cupboard. Hence why we are borrowing $300 million a week and why Key wants to sell SOEs.

For the record I won't be voting Labour as they have no one I can trust with my vote.

,sigh>, that's right snorkbox, hence the moaning!...Trains, ETS, ACC, global recession along with all Cullens other dirty tricks are sucking more than we have...but it wont be fixed in 3 or even 6 yrs!

1173876 2011-01-31 10:29:00 They're all morons IMO.

Sue needs to get her head out of her arse, Hone needs to jump off a cliff, along with the rest of the Maori party.

But MPs are not all morons in so far as they have managed to get a job and perks for three years without having to sign a contract.

Unfortunately, in that respect, they show remarkable intelligence, rorting the system and all.

True. But then not all MPs do that do they?

The basic problem we have is that the Public can't vote out the public servants who are the very ones who advise our elected reps whoever they happen to be at any given time. Life is full of lobby groups and compromise.

Take Treasury for example. They get it wrong so often it's not funny any more and they tell the elected Govt. how much we are supposed to have in the kitty. Then there's Statistics who probably pass on info to Treasury re Census figures which in turn tells them where to build schools and/or housing etc and ad nuseam.

Take a look at Yes Minister or Yes Prime Minister reruns if TV ever puts them back on which would beat reality shows hands down.

1173879 2011-01-31 18:51:00 And that is what we are stuck with, a hideous thought.

Mind you better that the Egyptian model.
