1174123 2011-02-01 04:18:00 You wouldnt get many applications of the stapler.
Single phase direct drive compressors are available at places like Repco for $130.
The biggest problem with using LPG bottles as air reservoirs is welding in the air connections for the air hose out and fill valve. It can be be fatal.
Need to take out the tap completely and purge the lpg with air and flush with water before welding leave full of water when welding. Still very risky and you could be killed by death if some lpg left in bottle.

If you buy a new LPG cylinder, it comes filled with non-volatile nitrogen.

:)

Not sure what you mean bevy.
Reason to silver floss the valve in is because they are brass, brazing brass can be tricky because the temperature is higher and the brass bit can just gloop into a molten blob.

1174127 2011-02-01 05:56:00 don't usually get good cheap nailguns or staplers. nailguns and air compressor should be easy to hire but a stapler is not all that common.

we run a few different staplers and nail guns just off a cheap direct drive no-name air compressor. i would see what one is worth compared to hiring one.
useing a 9kg tank is a waste of time. you will go through the air that quick you will spend more $$ getting it filled. dive tank is ok because they run much high pressures but it cost you to get them filled.

1174129 2011-02-01 08:31:00 Easyflo 'silver solder' with flux is a better all round hard solder than SilFos which is intended primarily for copper to copper joining/brazing.

Not sure where Flossy comes into it though :banana

Have one that looks the same but called Project Air (Mitre Ten) and is about 6 years old

These come with different names no doubt all from the same Factory

Gets used a least 15 minutes a week mainly for cleaning Rideon after use and occasional spray painting and have added a water trap for this

I don't think these would run a nailer but a stapler should be no problem

Unlike most Chinese stuff this has been problem free since new and would buy another
