| 1173650 | 2011-01-30 09:35:00 | You don't have to tune it in, it automactically replaces C4, even on analogue Wrong. FOUR will take C42's place, so no analouge/sky, freeview only. C4 will undergo another rebranding, with much less focus on mucic, kind of like MTV I guess. |

MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, 14 December 2010 C4 MOVES TO FREEVIEW PLATFORM IN EARLY 2011 Coinciding with the launch of FOUR in early 2011, C4 will replace C42 on the Freeview platform. C4 will go back to its roots, playing a broad, cross-section of music and continuing its policy to play at least 30 percent Kiwi content. Key C4 music shows like Video Hits, Homegrown and Biggest Records Right Now will remain in the schedule, and a new music show hosted by Drew Neemia and Shannon Ryan will launch on FOUR in the new year, which will re-broadcast on C4 each night in the primetime slot of 7.30pm-9.00pm. Andrew Szusterman, Network Executive says: “Bringing C4 back to solely a music brand is a great result for music lovers. I do dislike the music C4 plays. Thats why i'm happy i wont get C4 anymore, and will get FOUR instead. We don't have freeview, and i only watch C4 for the ocasional episode of Family Guy. let me get this straight, Analogue TV and Sky will no longer get C4, which is turning into an all music channel for freeview only, it is replacing C42. FOUR is availbile on all platforms, including analogue, and is an entertainment channel, so there will be little, if any, music programs. This channel is replacing what C4 was turning into, an entertainment channel. |

We don't have freeview, and i only watch C4 for the ocasional episode of Family Guy.. This. C42 isn't that bad - no ghey show hosts with 15 yr old girls ringing in requesting justin bieber. Simpsons have never been on 4 before (correct me if im wrong) so it should be good to have that next to the likes of Family Guy, south park etc |
