Yes they are using that to send texts and pictures. That is one thing they won't be able to knock out.
Having looked at some of those pictures it is scary as to how many plain clothes policeman there are.

1173385 2011-01-29 22:59:00 Killing Gharib Abdelaziz Abdellatif is going to make a very powerful martyr-situation now too.

The pixs are very graphic and they are not being posted in the US. In fact very little other than an occasional blurb about social 'unrest' and 'dissidents at large' are mentioned in the news here.

The US has a lot vested in keeping things status quo.

1173386 2011-01-29 23:19:00 Egypt's rulers really needs to implement the two party fake democracy system to keep the peace over a obvious dictatorship, the US model would be the way to go. Battleneter2 (9361)

We all know it, but most refuse to admit it.

1173389 2011-02-01 22:23:00 It appears that two New Zealand School teachers have suffered the consequences of there being no internet in Cairo. Wasn't Mr keys arranging flights for Kiwis out of Cairo.

It is amazing that those kiwis who chose to work at a British language school were the one complaining the loudest about the NZ Gov not doing anything to help them. If they were working for a British company maybe they should have gone to the British embassy and arranged passage..

1173391 2011-02-02 01:01:00 Fairly simple I would have thought.

If you leave NZ under your own steam for the green grass elsewhere then you can find your own way back.
