1207495 2011-06-07 07:36:00 Where can I find a stand for a netbook? Or is there a website that shows me how to build one? QW. (15883)
1207496 2011-06-07 07:46:00 Not especially for Netbooks but Laptop Stand (www.onlinebargain.co.nz).

And all for a low low price of $150 ( hit buy now to get price) order now while stocks last :p

Sorry bit carried away there - to many infomercials on TV ;)

Also a few more shown here (www.shopbot.co.nz) As well as more here (www.emax.co.nz) - one there looks similar to the first link, but a fraction of the price.

1207497 2011-06-07 08:15:00 Hi Ygk

Believe it or not I've just brought a clear Acrylic Laptop stand with three fans and Blue leds, powered by usb for the grand total of $5.95. Got it from Trade Me brand new!!

You could make your own, INSTRUCTABLES (www.instructables.com) is a great site for instructions, not just for laptops stands, (cut to size), but for many other things as well.

Might have a go and build one myself yet.

1207501 2011-06-09 08:54:00 Hi Yqk

Yes, and it's pretty bloody cool. The blue Leds are out of it too. Reckon it's ideal for a netbook. It's is higher at the back than the front so it gives my Laptop a nice angle. ideal for typing. The lappie is bigger than the stand so it makes the computer appear to float. It is powered from the Usb but the plug has a straight through socket so you don't lose a outlet. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the link.
Just received my stand this morning.
I am impressed for the price!
Made just for my 12" hp notebook. The 4 rubber pads match up perfectly with the notebook's 4 rubber feet.

1207503 2011-06-14 01:23:00 Do these stands have any effect on battery useage.? Pato (2463)
1207504 2011-06-14 02:01:00 Hi Guys

Scubadoo, glad you got one, pretty cool, eh?

Pato, I have not done any testing on running the Laptop/Netbook Stands on battery power. However, my educated guess is yes but... What I mean by that is, as the battery will be powering both the computer and the stand's fans and Led's then it will have an effect. BUT the fans are fairly small and use Led's so shouldn't draw a lot of extra current anyway so the effect would be minimal. You could easily wire a switch to control the amount of fans working and/or turn the Leds off.
