| 1206851 | 2011-06-04 00:49:00 | I seem to have lost a post of mine, posted a few minutes ago! Anyway... I have an external USB HDD which under Disk management shows it as Disk 5, unknown, not initialised. Right clicking on it produces a menu which includes "Inialize disk". Next screen says I must initialize the disk before Logical Disk Manager can access it. I highlite disk 5 and select MBR as the partition style. Click OK and get the message "The device is not ready" So what do I have to do to make it ready ? |

| 1206852 | 2011-06-04 01:01:00 | Could be a problem with the external drive enclosure - can you take the HDD out of the enclosure, and connect it to the PC as a slave drive, to make sure the drive is actually working ? | wainuitech (129) | ||
