| 1206695 | 2011-06-24 03:19:00 | Still on Cashbook complete but another issue. If you are on 503f and can no longer print envelops downgrade to 503e. 503f was released to fix printing issues relating to a couple of printer brands but broke envelop printing for other printers. Downgrading normally fixes the envelop issue and there is no other features lost in the downgrade. | berryb (99) | ||
| 1206696 | 2011-07-16 02:57:00 | Thought I should share my experience. It might be helpful to someone. I have been running ver 5.03 previously. I had tried 5.03f but came up against the broken printer problem. After a reinstall on a new computer with Office 2010 I got the "unable to initialise the windows registry" error. I tried uninstalls, reinstalls, etc with no joy. I found a new 5.03g version, tried that but still couldn't start cashbook. I found a site that described the problem as above (ie. conflict between 2 versions of access). One workaround suggested was running a program as administrator. Tried this and it worked. Amazing. But thats not all. I found that the printer problem still exists with 5.03g so I installed back to 5.03 over the top (ie no uninstall) and cashbook now starts normally. Go figure. |
