1175192 2011-02-04 08:35:00 But if I recall correctly, as a recalcitrant South Auckland youth, you're going to have to join the crowds getting from SA to Kingsland anyway, in order to walk in the opposite direction ...

So what's that going to prove? ;)

One clearly has not heard of going earlier than everyone else

Recalcitrant? Quite the opposite :stare:

1175195 2011-02-04 09:20:00 Not a fan either. Get sick of being asked "did you watch the game last night" also. 9/10 times the game was rugby. --Wolf-- (128)
1175196 2011-02-04 09:32:00 What a stupid thread this is.
I think I'll start one entitled:
Am I the only one who hates broccoli?
Who gives a ****?

1175198 2011-02-04 09:48:00 Stupid game played with a stupid shaped 'ball'.
You might gather nomad that you are not the only one.

one of my friends say that they don't know how to make a proper ball :D

it's not my cup of tea and to me it seems like if rugby is too sensationalised around the world. like any country nz has their pros and cons, i would like know the real nz, not talk about a stupid sport when you you wanna know something about the country. people are more impt imho.

PS. Brocolli is very healthy. One of my fav vege. I know a lot of girls who like them too.
I like brocolli just blanched quickly (without any condiment) so they still have some crisp.

They proved to be easy to grow for me, and if planted at the right time of the year, they grow quickly so you can get more crops in. Our broccoli heads ended up much bigger than the ones you get in the shops. I learned that the best thing to do is to pick them when they are smaller, then the plant is encouraged to grow lots more little heads around the stems, which are great in stir fries.

I am going to start with some seeds. Grow them inside then transfer them outside.
A mature couple friend even grew them in their student flat garden some years ago, must of been the warmer seasons.
Do you buy any vege

What's right to be planted about now?

I haven't really done seeds, except for broad beans, spring onions and carrots. Successful with the broad beans and spring onions, not with carrots. I tend to buy plants from Mitre10 or a nursery garden, because they have a head start that way. Sunflowers are good from seed - this year my grandson and I planted four seeds from last year's flowers in a bucket in the greenhouse. Three of the seeds came up, and eventually I had to put the bucket outside in the garden because they got too tall for the greenhouse. On the other hand, my wife planted seeds straight into the garden, and her sunflowers are miserable scrawny things.

For what you should plant now, here is a useful website: http://www.gardengrow.co.nz/
