Hi Zac,
I got your skype message. No, sorry I can't teach that, but there must be books somewhere that can. My son in law could, but he is in the States.

1175151 2011-02-04 21:17:00 I'd suggest that you start off with a language like Java or C#, and once you grasp the basics then look at C/C++ (if you really want to).

There are some excellent (free) tutorials here: msdn.microsoft.com for C#.

1175152 2011-02-04 21:22:00 I would personally learn about coding fundamentals first. After that picking up almost any coding language is quite easy. icow (15313)

Have you thought about doing a correspondence course. That is the way I started.

1175154 2011-02-05 02:48:00 I suggest you buy or borrow a good book.

When I was about 12 or so I learnt VB6 from a library book called "Sams Teach Yourself Visual Basic 6 in 24 Hours". Obviously one book does not make you a professional but it is a good foundation.

I don't know what books are good these days for C, C++, Java etc but give one a try. Not much to lose.

1175155 2011-02-05 03:01:00 I started off from Web Design of Dummies at the age of 13. It gave me a really good basic idea as to how to program HTML and to create web pages from that. I also find that reverse-engineering helps me to learn tremendously when it comes to programming.

Good luck! :)

1175158 2011-02-05 04:13:00 Mmm, HTML isn't a programming language though, it's a structural formatting language.
